Michael Ellul (Partner)
Educated in Malta, Michael Ellul’s first professional experience was in banking with the then subsidiary of Istituto Bancario San Paolo di Torino SpA in Malta – Melita Bank International. Michael Ellul’s experience in this sector was mainly in syndicated lending.
Following this experience, Michael Ellul moved to Coopers & Lybrand (PricewaterhouseCoopers) in 1994 and was involved in trust and company formation together with other duties for six years up to 31st March 2000.
Michael Ellul resigned from PricewaterhouseCoopers to join Francis J. Vassallo & Associates Limited as Tax Partner on 1st April 2000 and was instrumental in building up the business and the organization in the period to August 2006.
Michael Ellul is one of the founding partners and directors of QUBE Services Limited.
Thomas Jacobsen (Partner)
Educated in Norway, graduating from the University of Oslo, Norway with a law degree (Cand. Jur.), specialising in International Tax Law, Thomas Jacobsen’s first professional experience was as an assistant lawyer to the Royal Norwegian Air Force.
Thomas Jacobsen moved to the Tax and Legal Services of PricewaterhouseCoopers Malta (Price Waterhouse at the time) in June 1997 and was mainly involved in international and local tax consultancy, corporate consultancy, ship registration and individual tax consultancy. He resigned as Senior Manager of PricewaterhouseCoopers to join QUBE Services Limited in January 2007.
David Griscti (Partner)
Educated in Malta and the UK, David graduated from the University of Malta with a Doctorate law degree (LL.D), and the University of London with a Masters law degree specializing in Securities Law and International Finance Law. His first professional experience was as an Associate with one of Malta's oldest law firms, Fenech & Fenech Advocates, where he focused primarily on
Financial Services. In 1998 David established Griscti & Mifsud Advocates, focusing entirely on Financial Services, Corporate and Business Law. The firm merged with two other practices in 2005 to form GMTD – Law Firm, wherein David is the lead partner in Financial Services, with a marked emphasis on Investment Services Law (in particular Collective Investment Schemes). David Griscti is a full member of the Chamber of Advocates, the Institute of Financial Services Practitioners, the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and the Swiss-Maltese Chamber of Commerce. He sits on the board of a number of Collective Investment Schemes and is one of the founding partners and directors of QUBE Services Limited.
